Heritage Oaks Full Gospel Church Fall is Upon Us

Ecclesiastes 3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

The scriptures tells us that for everything there is a season. As I look outside and see the leaves starting to change and today the weather was cooler I know that fall coming is upon us. I look forward to the changing of the season and the different weather. After fall we will be in winter and as I’m getting older it is a season that as far as the cold I don’t look forward to it but as far as what happens I look forward to it. Christmas will be here and and there will be time for our Son and Daughter-in-law and grandchildren will be here to have Christmas dinner with us.

We look at it for many of us is in the fall of our lives. We have seen many seasons come and go. But that does not mean we are getting past our usefulness. Ive seen 61 falls come and go but I still look forward to see this one. I used to go hunting in the fall and the last few years I planned on it but was unable to go because of something happening to me to keep me from it. But that does not mean that each season does not have something to look forward to. This past summer Pam and I was able to go camping quite a bit but with fall coming we will have to bring our camper home and get ready for next year. This year I have several trees ready to be planted this fall but with things happening I’ll hope they wait till spring to be planted I have about 30 or so ready to be put in the ground but I think this will be in the spring not the fall like I planned. But like the scriptures says “To everything there is a season”.

Ecclesiastes 3:2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted

As the scriptures say there is a time for everything and for everything it will be in Gods time. So as we go about our time we should not let it be wasted. The time to plant is always I mentioned my trees I want to get planted in the fall but like I also said it has to be put of because of things that happened this year. And who knows maybe they will do better in the spring being planted. But the time to plant God’s word is always. We are to sow his word where ever we go. We want to reap a harvest of souls for I want everyone that can to go to heaven but I know some will refuse to hear what the word has to say but there will be those who will listen and the seed that is planted will take root and grow.

Matthew 13:3 And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;
4 And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:
5 Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:
6 And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:
8 But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.
9 Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

After winter will be spring and the farmers will get their fields ready to plant and they will plant their crops and they will start to grow. But according to how they tend their fields will depend on how they get the return on their seed they planted. This is also true on how we plant the word of God. It is also true about how we tend to those who a seed takes root in. So in the spring they plant and then all summer the seed grows and in the fall they harvest their crops. It like us when we plant the a seed sometimes it takes many seasons to help the seed grow that we plant. The field that seed is planted in may need worked more than others. You take the land we live on it is mostly clay and clay takes a lot more work to get seed to grow in that say soil like over around Alger that is muck this type of soil is very fertile and when seeds is planted in it they take root and take off. Where our soil it need lime added or fertilizer some time it need to be worked up more.

Young Christians are the same way: some take off and the seed (Word of God) takes root and grows and produces very well to where some takes more time and love to help them get to grow and it might not be their own fault it could be circumstances that is around them. But that does not mean that the word won’t take root. The point I guess I am trying to make is everyone is worth the time and effort to help them grow in Christ after all didn’t after all didn’t someone take the time and effort to help you to grow in the Lord. May God Bless you and bless the seeds that you plant.
