Birds in Nature

If you know me, you’re probably aware that I love watching the wonders of God. As a quick aside, when we first moved to our current house and as we were finally getting grass to grow in the yard, I think Pam and Her were still in doubt. Specifically, I don’t think they thought we would ever get rid of all the mud.

But back to the yard. We purchased this old tractor to mow the yard. I mowed the entire yard, front to back, which took quite a while. As I mowed, I noticed these birds swarming around me. My first reaction was “they’re going to attack me!” Perhaps I was close to their nest or something!

As I kept mowing I noticed that all sort of grass hoppers and butterflies would fly up to get away from the mower and these birds would swoop down to get them!

God Provides

Imagine that — they weren’t attacking me! I was actually feeding them by mowing!

It fascinated me to watch these birds fly around the tractor. And it got me thinking: God even cares for the birds of the air.

“26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? 27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?” — Mathew 6:26-27

Now imagine how much more God cares for you!

He created you in his image, He said he would never leave you or forsake you. Or as the psalmist says:

“4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? 5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. 6 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet.” — Psalms 8:4-6

God has wonderfully created and blessed us. All we have to do is look around and we can see all of the wonders and miracles of God.

May God Bless you and keep you.
