I never gave thought to doing a Bucket List until recently. So as I am trying to decide what I want on my list I’m think of what I want to accomplish.
Number 1 is working for God doing everything I can do to help others find the Lord, the scriptures says in
Luke 14:23 And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.
Philippians 4:8-9 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
So I think the most important things on my list is for God and family. So if nothing gets done on this list, thats ok. I’ll continue to put God first and preach the Gospel and do all that I can to help others find the Lord. Continue to be pastor at our church and love the ones that come there.
Then I’ll put my family second do what I can do to take care of them and to try to see that they are taken care of. Maybe someday Pam and I will go on a trip but thats not important maybe someday we will get to go to Niagara Falls and stay as long as she like but thats not important either. The important thing is that we do it as a family and put God in the center of that family. To me Pam, Jeremiah, Stephanie, Connor and Camryn is my whole world, So where does that put God.
He is the center of my universe.
The first time I heard of a bucket list was from a movie called The Bucket List — that when it really stuck out to me. The things on their list was climbing mountains and racing cars, going to exotic places. But they never put God first. In fact God should not be placed on a list anywhere he should alway be in your hearts and on your mind. So I think my list just got completely crumpled up and tossed in the can.
I don’t need a list to remind me to live for God and then family. This is what the word of God has taught me for a long time ago. So for all of you who have your bucket list I pray that salvation is on there some where. I hope number 1. But then again I hope you get down to whatever number you made it on your list and receive the blessings that God has intended for you.
May God Bless you and may you keep him first at all times.
